Fellow Controllers,
I write this letter to inform you of what is going on in your ARTCC. Recently the activitity of the staff has been less than acceptable. I truly apologize for this. For those of you that have not heard I am moving to a place 30 miles east of Reno, which puts me 30 miles from Fallon/30 miles from Reno. With the move and paperwork coming constantly it has been extremely difficult for me to get on the scopes, however, I am still here and available for contact via email and this forum board. Hopefully come next month around the middle of it I can get back on a nightly basis on the scopes.
At any rate, my staff has also been going through its real world issues as well. I am going to be adding some more instructors to the squad so that we can ensure students get proper attention.
Events are going to become a huge part of our life at the end of July, I have told our events coordinator Tom that I want to see more events, specializing in GA style Class D airports.
We have not recieved any new students yet from the VATUSA training academy as I know a couple of you have wondered why we have not received any new blood. Hopefully we get some students soon, as we need all the controllers we can get.
Guys, we had some great positive actions going for us at the beginning of April for TGIF, we did TGIF and handled it better than I could have imagined, then real world took our lives and spun us around. I want to get that spark back in the ARTCC again, I admit I have made some wrong choices in the past couple of months trying to make the ARTCC better but I plan to remedy those choices and bring a new spark in.
Like I said before, I will not be on the scopes everynight right now as I am being pulled in many different directions, but rest assured knowing that I am available via email and this forum and will continue to do my best to serve you guys as the ATM. I am proud to be in this ARTCC and proud to be your ATM.
I hope you all are doing well in your lives, and wish you all the best, hopefully soon I will get a chance to plug in next to each one of you.
