I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before, but I was wondering if any attempt has been made to host an online version of the Reno Air races.
Aircraft could fly-in over the course of several days, then the race could be held for a few hours on a weekend.
Aircraft selection would be limited to a choice of a few stock aircraft to ensure that the playing field is level.
Custom scenery could be developed for X-plane to include the pylons, but I'm not sure about MS FS2004 (hence the X-plane reference in the topic).
