While many of you try to help out as much as possible, some of you may cross the line. I understand that we're all here to help one another, but mentors and instructors exist for a purpose. As of right now, if you're not a mentor or instructor, please do not give advice to new students. I know you have good intentions, but there is a reason why someone is a mentor, or instructor.

By all means, I'm not telling you not to help someone out if you think they're struggling, but instead of offering your two cents, send them to the specific section of the 7110.65 so they can get their own knowledge, because that is how we learn.

Also, I'm not saying that if someone doesn't know how to use the software not to teach them. This is perfectly fine. If I am a new student and I can't tell my cursor from a radar tag, feel free to instruct me on that, but leave the actual phraseology and techniques to qualified instructors / mentors.

Thanks,

Tom
