Everyone please join me in congratulating vZOA's new Training Administrator Greg Marcoux!

There were several very qualified candidates, and I thank you all for applying, so it was a very difficult decision, but in the end I feel Greg's qualifications and experience are the best fit for ZOA moving forward.

I know both Greg and I have a lot of ideas for the training department here at ZOA, and I expect a lot of cool new things to be happening in the future!

Again, welcome Greg, it is a pleasure to have you back on the FAB, and I believe I can speak for the rest of the FAB when I say we look forward to working with you!

Thanks guys. I am very excited for the future of ZOA. We have several very active controllers that soon enough wil be norcal and CTR certified. My initial intentions are to get those people certified on CTR and to help the new members find there way. A successful ARTCC begins with the amount CTR is on. It is that basic and so that is my primary focus for now. I will also be looking for even more mentors/instructors in the future to help ZOA's training program. However, sacrificing quality is never an option for more quantity.

I have about one more week until I finish up my commercial multi engine check ride weather and other variables permitting. Once that is complete I will be able to give even more attention to training. My plea to fellow ZOA members is to staff ZOA as much as possible.

If anyone has any comments, concerns or questions don't hesitate to e-mail or message me on AIM (both listed on my profile).

Geez, I hope that includes me... I have been trying to just get SMT privileges on OAK_CTR since last July.
