Borrowed this from ZLA. Thought it would be relevant here, since any departures that are sent to LAX, SNA, BUR, VNY, and LGB all route through AVE down J7 to FIM. Plus, gives you some perspective on what SCT is having to do with the arrivals now. Enjoy.

Just read about this on the ZLA forum and I would have to think it is going to make things difficult in SOCAL for many months to come.

Luckily a sizeable number of airplanes have some type of area navigation system these days (and thus no need for the VOR to actually work)...that should help keep ATC's workload increase minimal.
