The vZOA staff is currently looking for mentors who are interested in working in this organization to give back to students and share their passion for aviation!!
The ideal candidate is someone who is easy going, patient, and loves helping others learn. Other qualifications we look for are getting along well with others, drive for self improvement, ability to learn, committed to improving the training here at ZOA, and a desire to help others.
The specific duties of a new mentor are still being codified but will likely include training students on clearance delivery and ground, contributing to the training team by providing feedback and asking questions, and taking time to better yourself as a controller and as a teacher.
