ZOA is now accepting applications for the position ZOA Training Administrator.
Responsibilities
* Reports to Air Traffic Manager and VATUSA Training Services Administrator.
* Review and improve on the training program to make it effective and efficient for all ZOA controllers.
* Maintains an adequate staff of instructors and mentors to meet ZOA's training requirements.
* Update and maintain ZOA's training Website material, training syllabus, ZOA related exams, and our certification system.
* Provide reports to the ATM/DATM on the effectiveness and efficiency of the Training Department.
* Performs duties as a staff instructor.
* This position will absolutely require a significant time commitment -- as much as 10+ hours per week
* Must maintain a high online presence to assist other trainers and students
Qualifications required:
* Hold at least a rating of Controller (C1).
* Capable of working well in team oriented environment.
* No recent disciplinary action.
* Strong knowledge of United States and VATSIM ATC system.
* Intimate knowledge of the FAA Order 7110.65
* Active ARTCC Member or become an active member of ZOA ARTCC.
Other Qualifications:
* Teaching/Education experience (on or off VATSIM) a plus.
* Leadership, managerial or supervisory experience a plus.
* Prior Instructor or TA experience a plus.
* Real world aviation experience a plus.
