Adam Hulse has been appointed our new Training Administrator. Adam comes to us not only with previous mentor and instructor experience here at ZOA, but was also an ATM and TA at Salt Lake City ARTCC.
I want to again thank Lucas for applying. I know some of you believe he was the candidate who should have been selected, and I appreciate that you guys all care enough about ZOA that you're willing to voice an opinion. All I ask is that you keep it civil.
With regards to Adam, I'll let him discuss some of his plans for the ZOA training department. I know he intends to make some of the training program more of a "self guided" course so that students aren't required to sit around and wait for a mentor or instructor to have time for them. We've also discussed how our training progression in ZOA in general is unclear, and I've asked that his first task is to publish a clear and concise training progression so that everyone from the newest OBS to the guy who has lots of time on NorCal Combined and wants his CTR PV can all understand exactly what will be expected of them in order to take the next step in their training. We have also discussed other ideas and I'll let Adam talk about those.
I really hope everyone will be willing to welcome Adam to the team and will support him going forward. As I told him tonight, the best way he can show that we made a good choice will be to do a good job. I have confidence that he will.
