Perhaps you can settle a dispute with a friend of mine. Looking at the Baret4 arrival TNP transition, I say that you can be below fl240 but not lower than 12000ft, yes or no??
also from KARRO IFEHI the lowest you can be is 9000ft. Yes or No?
Your expertise is appreciated.

Just so that we all know what Thomas is talking about.
The Baret 4 arrival is a non-profile STAR into San Diego Lindbergh, which doesn't fall into vZOA. Thats ZLAs airspace.
Going solely by the chart, don't fly lower than the MEA (minimum enroute altitude, i.e. 15.000 from TNP to MOMAR, 12.000 from MOMAR to KARRO etc).
If ATC can get you lower than the MEA, but no lower than MVA (minimum vectoring altitude)

And for further clarification Thomas should ask on the ZLA forum since it's one of their STARs. Not that we don't want Thomas around here. Just that ZLA would be more knowledgeable about the procedure.
Would also be good to know who Thomas is? :D

Yea Paul, actually I haven't been approving the Forum registrations unless the user name is the person's normal first and last name.

I considered not approving it, but it seemed like it was an actual person not a spammer so I did. So if Thomas can please post his last name we can edit his forum username. :D

MMH speaks the truth, dead on.
ZLA SOP more or less matches the 'expect' instructions on the chart (25nm NE of PGY at 12k), however, that's not relevant to the OP's question.
