Does anyone know where I can buy some charts for the San Francisco area? I looked on Sportys.com, and they had a section where charts could be purchased, divided into areas, including San Francisco. I'm not sure what all this would cover though. I'm looking for DP's, STAR's, and Approach Plates the most, and terminal diagrams would also be helpful. I visited the cockpit on my most recent plane trip and saw that the captain had a nice little binder with a bunch of charts. Am looking for something similar. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks. :D

Hey Joey,

Go to Sporty's and use their Chart Doctor. My set of charts will be here tomorrow. For all my approach, departure and runway diagrams I use aeroplanner.com but you can also get them on this site. I have aeroplanner for my RL flight planning.

Thank you guys for reminding me.. I need to run down to SAC and buy the next cycle this Friday!

To be honest, it would be better to wait until then before buying them, as a new cycle will be out by then.

If you're looking for STARs and DP's, look no further than myairplane.com or on this site.

If you're looking for facility charts, our own web site has most of them.

If you're looking for IFR high/low enroute charts, or VFR sectionals, THEN go shopping.

If you want VFR Sectionals you can get them here:

Sectionals (http://aviationtoolbox.org/raw_data/FAA_sectionals/current/)

Looks like you do not need a subscription to access these hi-res .pdf charts. ALOT clearer than the .gifs.

Type in the Airport and select the approach plate tab. Arrival (STARs), Departure (SIDs), Instrument Approach Plates, Airport diagrams and more all hi-res.

Full airport info as well.

I am subscribing to the U.S. Terminal Procedures SD and STAR's from Sportys on DVD for the entire USA So if anyone is interested in having a back issue of these send me your snail mail address via e-mail not this forum and I will put you on a list of those wanting a copy and will send you the first back dated copy I get when your name comes up in the order I receive the request. These disk will only run if you have a DVD player in your computer so do not ask for it if you only have a CD player.
