So I got an A in my Aircraft ID course and missed one on the final... stupid mistake too. C150 instead of C152 (and the C150 wasn't even on the test so I should have known!!)
Anyway, how many aircraft do you guys know? Here (http://aeronautics.mtsac.edu/~rrogus/courses/41hints.html) is our study list for the final. Breakdown:
Six singles
Six twins
Six corportate turboprops
Six corporate jets
Six helecopters
Four military
and then he would pick ten airliners from the pool listed at the end of the list. How many identifiers do you know? If you know the identifier, could you pick the aircraft out of a set of pictures? Could you look at a picture and pick the right identifier?
I'm ruined... I spent last night commanding traffic and thinking, 'B757... narrow body, four exits...' and getting mental images of the aircraft in my head. I guess that's not exactly being ruined... but it's certainly something different! ^_^
Oh yeah, our professor has a good sense of humor, too. The first picture on the final was a burned-out tail section at a crash investigation site. Man, you never heard so much complaining from the class! Engine in the tail cone, intake above the fuselage, conventional tail assembly. Do you know it? ^_~
