I'm going to be away for one week, starting next Friday, May 28.

Heading to a wedding in South Dakota, then to Seattle for a few days.

Keith,

We will miss you for a week... hmmm who is going to man OAK_V_CTR during the afternoon hours? :P I bet if Boeing had their Conexxion system installed on the aircraft Keith is travelling, then we will have a controller controlling aircraft from an aircraft...

Rich,

You know, I could just tell by the look in my wife's eyes that any move to bring the laptop and headset would be dealt with swiftly, and could well include the use of lethal force.

So, I don't think you'll see me controlling on this trip. I do plan to make up for it when I return, though ;)

Ha ha! Good for her! Let's face it, Keith: If you worked at a real controlling job like you do here, I think the supervisor would start demanding you take vacation. Could you even stand to take 30 minutes off every two hours? ^_^

I still say if ZOA has a meet in the bay, we should round up a bunch of laptops with wireless connects, troop in to KSFO or KOAK (or some airport that's wireless enabled) and sit down and do some controlling. From the airport. Think people would get nervous?
